Delivery information

If it is after-hours, your call will be directed to your physician as needed. We will advise you about when to head to the hospital.

If you cannot safely make it to the hospital, or if you believe your life or the life of your unborn baby is at risk, call 911.

Preregistration

You are encouraged to pre-register with the hospital so your medical information and insurance information is on file. This will cut down on paperwork once you arrive at the hospital. Click here to preregister.

On-call physicians

The physicians at Novant Health Bradford Clinic OB/GYN are divided into two teams based on the hospital where they deliver babies. They share call with each other within each team. That means your baby will be delivered by a physician in our practice, but it might not be your primary doctor. Your primary obstetrician will oversee your delivery and will get notes from the on-call physicians about your progress. The two teams are:

Labor and delivery- Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center is one of Charlotte's leading hospitals for labor and delivery care. This hospital boasts spacious delivery rooms, operating rooms available for cesarian sections, private family rooms for after your delivery and a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery. Level IV is the highest designation given by the state of North Carolina. Should your baby need special care after delivery, you can rely on around-the-clock services from the nursery's team of neonatologists.

The hospital encourages "rooming in," so you can spend as much time with your new arrival as you wish. A nursery is available, but you are welcome to keep your child in your room. The hospital also offer nursing support, postpartum support and photography services.

Labor and delivery- Novant Health Matthews Medical Center

Novant Health Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, North Carolina, offers comprehensive maternity services close to where you live. The Family Maternity Center includes large delivery rooms, and recovery rooms with recliners, refrigerators and daybeds so a support person can stay with you overnight. The Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery is staffed around the clock should your new arrival need special care.

The hospital encourages "rooming in," so you can spend as much time with your new arrival as you wish. A nursery is available, but you are welcome to keep your child in your room. The hospital also offer nursing support, postpartum support and photography services.
